Junior Trials 2022/23

Southern District Cricket Club will be hosting our Junior Boys trials at Bice Oval on Thursday 17 March 2022 and Thursday 24 March 2022 for the upcoming 2022/23 season.

The trials are for EXISTING and NEW players.

To register your interest please contact our Junior Coordinator Ripu Soodan via email on ripu_soodan@yahoo.com. Ripu will provide you with further information and a player identification form which is required to be filled out before 10 March.

U14 Whites Soar into Semi-Finals

The Stingrays are in the Finals!

Our U14 Whites take on Kensington in a Semi Final over the next two weekends at Park 25. The side captained by Joel Howell and coached by Marty Clifton finished second on the table after the regular season to qualify.

The club congratulates them on what they have done thus far, as well as wishes them all the best over the next two weekends as they look for a win.
Tanner Brings up his 150th First Grade Match

Round 12 marked Shaun Tanner’s 150th 1st Grade Match for Southern District Cricket Club.

Shaun began at the club as a junior before going back to his local club Pt Noarlunga where he soon became A Grade captain. After winning an A Grade premiership at Porties he returned back to Southern District where he made his way through the senior grades into the 1st Grade.

Barrett Breaks All-Time Run Scoring Record

This past Saturday on his 30th Birthday, Club Captain Joshua Barrett became the clubs all time leading run scorer in 1st Grade Cricket. Josh moved to 5,326 runs, surpassing Club Legend Shane Deitz’s record of 5,299 runs. Josh arrived at the club at the age of 11 and made his way through the junior and senior grades before making his 1st Grade debut in the last round of the 2007/08 season.
