Dear SDCC Junior Players and Parents,

Hope you are well.

We have two indoor training session left 16/09 and 23/09. We’ll be holding our last indoor training session at AIS centre on 23rd September and after this we’ll move to outdoor at Bice Oval. 

Please receive the attached training schedule details leading to round 1 and please note an important update on Junior program as follows:

1. Trial Match vs Goodwood CC (U14s and U16s)

Thanks to those who has confirmed their availability. If you haven’t confirmed yet please do so asap as it will help us to prepare team structure for each age group. Goodwood CC will field an U15 & U17 teams versus SDCC U14 & U16.

Please note the below details for the trial match on Monday 3rd October 2022

• Venue – Cabra College ground, 225 Cross Road, Cumberland Park
• Report time – 10.45 am for a 11.30 am start
• Match time – 11.30 am - 05.00 pm
• 40/40 overs one day format

2. Junior Training Day and Times

Our first outdoor training session will begin from Wednesday 28th September at Bice Oval 4.30 pm to dark.

From 5th October (Daylight saving) training will be on Monday and Wednesday from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm and will be continue throughout the season (October-March).

3. Working Bee

Please also note there is working bee followed by BBQ on Sunday 18th September at Bice Oval.

We would appreciate your time to help to install turf nets, tidying up the hard wicket nets, fixing bola bowling machine, clean the storage shed, dispose of the waste etc. Please bring whispers, snippers, shovels and lawn mowers.

Many hands make light work!

4. Season Availability

5. Playhq Registration

As we are fast approaching closer to round 1, you need to register on playhq asap if you haven’t register yet.

All players registration fees are due prior to Round 1, 15th October to be available for selection.

Southern District Cricket Club will be hosting our Junior Boys trials at Bice Oval on Thursday 17 March 2022 and Thursday 24 March 2022 for the upcoming 2022/23 season.

The trials are for EXISTING and NEW players.
