Shaun began at the club as a junior before going back to his local club Pt Noarlunga where he soon became A Grade captain. After winning an A Grade premiership at Porties he returned back to Southern District where he made his way through the senior grades into the 1st Grade.

Will Bosisto Appointed Junior High Performance Coach

Southern District Cricket Club is pleased to announce Will Bosisto as the Junior High Performance coach for the upcoming season.

Will, who is currently the Men’s 1st Grade Captain at Adelaide University, has previously represented Western Australia and South Australia in First Class Cricket as well as playing for the Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League.

The junior squads will gain significant experience and insights into what it takes to be a professional cricketer and we are sure the lads will learn a great deal in their development through Will.

Will is going to be taking charge of junior trainings on Monday evenings for the duration of the 21/22 season and we look forward to seeing our juniors thrive under his direction.

Men’s First Grade Season Kicks Off

Men’s First Grade Season Kicks Off

The 1st Grade Men kicked off their season last weekend in three T20 games against Woodville, Sturt and Kensington. The men didn't have too much success over the weekend, with the boys unable to secure a win. The Stingrays named a squad of twelve, including new recruits Tom and Nick Maegraith as well as returning fan favourite and Playing Life Member Nick Bowen.

The weekend wasn't without positives though, Nick Bowen looked good with the bat, after a season year off due to work commitments. Chris Russo also started the weekend well scoring 50 in the first game against Woodville.

With the ball, the wickets were spread throughout the bowlers with Mitch Cuming taking 3 wickets against Sturt.

The lads will be better for the run when the main 1st Grade season gets underway this weekend with a road trip to East Torrens for a One Day Match.
