Senior Women

Southern District Cricket Club have fielded senior women's teams in SACA's Premier Cricket Competition since 2006. During Summer 2022/23 we are running Academy Training sessions to help develop female cricketers, and create links with clubs in the Fleurieu region.

Academy Training sessions are held on Wednesdays from 5.30pm at Bice Oval, run by our Head Coach John Lonergan. John is a Level 2 Cricket Australia coach, who is very focused on helping local clubs grow girls and womens teams as part of the pathway to producing Representative level cricketers at the Stingrays.  For more information please contact John on 0413 319 044, or email john@inclusiveitconsulting.com.au

Women’s Season Kicks Off

Our Women's XI played their first game of the season on Sunday morning in the SACA 2nd Grade Women’s T20 competition. The Stingrays, featuring numerous debutants, unfortunately came up short against a full-strength Adelaide outfit at Glandore Oval, featuring many players with first grade experience.
